Unlike any other 5K event around, the whole event is FREE!
This 5K was created to encourage a healthy lifestyle and promote a sense of community. Lozier is excited to join forces with our sponsors and invite you to participate, either as a serious runner or a casual walker. The course is extremely flat for those seeking a PR, and walkers are encouraged to participate as well. There will be no time limits.
The 5K will start at Lozier Plant One in Scottsboro, run through a local neighborhood, Caldwell City Park, Maples Walking Trail, and Bynum Park and Walking Trail next to Veterans Memorial Park and then back to Lozier for the finish line. There will be water available at mile one and two along the course and there will be refreshments and snacks at the finish line. The race will be timed and there will be overall finisher and age group awards at the awards ceremony immediately following the 5K.
Packet pick-up will be available only on race day starting at 8:45am at the event.
The first 500 runners who sign up and complete the 5K will receive a free t-shirt.
